Challenge School Math Program

The Challenge middle school math department is comprised of three teachers, Michael Tetzloff, Matt Bixby, and Melissa Eggleston, who all have a sound knowledge of mathematics and how children learn mathematics and who also hold high expectations for themselves and their students.  As a department, we believe learning mathematics is maximized when the focus is on mathematical thinking and reasoning.  We currently Open Up Resource as the Math 5 curriculum, and Big Ideas as the curriculum for Math 6 through Geometry.
